UWS.IO is a pilot platform, a digital space
where students, staff and creative practitioners
can co-produce a variety of ‘live’ editions of digital third space.
The first manifestation of a digital ‘third space’, UWS.IO is a new skills development and learning platform focused on bridging the divide between higher education and professional practitioners in the creative industries and arts.
Created through a co-design process with University of the West of Scotland students and ISO, it offers both ‘real world’ exposure to online audiences and a space sufficiently secure to allow for new models of accredited learning and digital skills development.
Designed specifically for use on mobile devices and tablets, the project continues to evolve through a series of workshops and meetings with staff and students from Filmmaking, TV, Radio, Journalism, Music, Digital Art and Performance – representing the diversity of disciplines within the UWS Creative Media Academy.
We hope you enjoy your online experience with UWS.IO and we look forward to hearing any thoughts you may have on our current projects and future developments.
